Family Campout Info Request

Hello Troop 648

We have a great trip planned for this weekend in the friendly pines of the Payson area. Lots of fun and scouting activities planned. There will be plenty of opportunity for your scout to work on Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class rank requirements too!

The campground area we will be staying at allows for site reservations. Therefore, we need to know your travel plans. Please forward what day you are heading up and when you will be returning home. You can reach me at dmcfetters@gmail.com.

Thanks!

Emergency Prep – Eagle Required Merit Badge

Hello Troop 648

As a reminder, Scouts have the opportunity to work on and complete an Eagle Scout required merit badge, Emergency Preparedness. There are a number of self directed requirements that your scout can get started on. Pick up a book in the troop library or Scout Shop. If your scout is interested, please contact the counselor, Mr. Conrad and let him know your scout would like to complete this merit badge.

Emergency_Preparedness

Part of the requirements is to earn the First Aid merit badge. If your scout has not earned this Eagle Required merit badge and they are going to summer camp, I suggest they take First Aid and work on both concurrently.

Great life skills for both!

See you Sunday at Pioneer Living History Museum for Jacob Muzich’s Eagle Scout project.

! ALERT ! Eagle Scout Project, Sunday, March 22nd, 7:30am

Hello Tro0p 648

Jacob Muzich’s Eagle Scout project will be at the Pioneer Living History Museum starting at 7:30am this Sunday, March 22nd. The museum is located at 3901 Pioneer Road, Phoenix. It is off the I-17 and north of Phoenix/Scottsdale.

We will be patching and painting the walls at the museum’s “Spanish Yard.” If you have any paint rollers, pans, and other painting equipment, please bring them along. Class B uniforms. This is a great project for a fantastic state museum and a great time is guaranteed!

More information regarding the museum:

Located in North Phoenix, the museum boasts 90 acres of an old 1800’s town, with no cars or smog! You will find authentic buildings and historically accurate reproductions. See the Opera House where Lilly Langtry sang; look through a rifle port in the actual cabin that survived Arizona’s bloodiest range war; laugh your way through a “melodrama”; or browse through an 1890’s dress shop and much more!

All of this, plus a blacksmith shop, sheriff’s office and jail, complete ranch complex, and costumed interpreters including cowboys, lawmen, and lovely Victorian ladies – await you at Pioneer Living History Village, Arizona’s most authentic Old West town.

See you there!
