What an outstanding weekend! Fifteen boys descended upon the Sonoran Suites this past weekend for the 2014-2015 Patrol Leadership Conference, an annual weekend planning session for our troop. Working from Friday night through Sunday mid-morning, the Scout leadership team discussed a variety of items on the agenda including outings, summer camp and monthly meeting themes. A lot was accomplished and a good time was had by all. We have an impressive group of Scouts leading our troop and this year should be fantastic.
I encourage all the adults to attend the September 2nd Troop Committee meeting to review the 2014-2015 activity calendar. We will be meeting at 7:00pm at Blessed Sacrament while the boys will be having their weekly troop meeting. This Committee meeting will also be a great opportunity for parents to find out how you can help the troop and ultimately your Scout. We have needs in a number of areas with opportunities that vary in time commitment. We cannot continue our tradition of success without the help of our parents. Please consider getting involved even if it’s just to attend this quarterly Troop Committee meeting.
