JAMES DEANGELIS LIFE PROJECT

How can I give back to the community? Great question!

Help New Life Center (Domestic Violence Shelter)

By Donating Personal Care Items For Survivors Of Abuse

Please donate any of the following items by bringing them to a February Scout meeting and/or to the COH on Tuesday, February 24th: Facial Cleanser, Body Soap, Hand Soap, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Mouthwash, Dental Floss, Shampoo & Conditioner, Hair Styling Products, Nail Clippers, Vaseline, Q-Tips, Toilet Paper, Kleenex, Diapers, Wipes, etc.

These in-kind donations are critically important for the families of New Life Center since most arrive at the shelter with little more than the clothes they are wearing.

A few facts about New Life Center:

  • NLC provides more than 34,000 nights of safety, shelter and services to more than 900 women and children on average each year. NLC is devoted to providing a safe haven and services to help families escape domestic violence.
  • Due to its unique design allowing privacy for each family, NLC is one of the few shelters in the state to accept teenage boys.
  • Over 95% of the women completing the program do not return to the abusive environment from which they came.

Please collect donations from your family, friends, neighbors, healthcare providers, and church members, too. Let’s make this donation drive a huge success!

Thank you for your help and support!
