Good evening!
You almost need a program to keep up with all T648 has going on. But in the absence of a program, pull out your calendar. Tomorrow night is the troop meeting, with the primary agenda focused on final preparations for this coming weekend’s ski outing to Sunrise Ski Resort. This weekend, for those of you not going on the outing, you have the opportunity to earn lots of $$. There will be three days worth of slots for Scout-O-Rama ticket sales, as well as an opportunity for the older boys to again assist the Knights of Columbus during their February social dinner on 2/12. We also will have a parent/committee meeting beginning at 7PM on 2/15 – lots of information on summer camp and fundraising – plan to be there. We also have learned that the date for young Mr. Huston’s Eagle Project will be Saturday, March 5th. Please plan ahead for fun and service hours in a Scottsdale trail building opportunity.
If you’re headed for Camp Mataguay this summer (and who is not interested in Southern California summer camp?!), you should be at $100 in deposits to be current. Please be using SOR fundraising opportunities to help supplement the cost through your scout account. Also, you should be planning to bring the BSA health form along to your next physical. It is a requirement to have a current medical signed by each scout’s doctor in order to attend summer camp. The medical form is in pdf form on the T648 website. For those who have seen their doctor in the last 6 months, doctor offices generally will fill out the form based upon the last physical (albeit, sometimes for a nominal fee). Only5 short months until camp!
See you tomorrow night. What a great month to be a scout!
Mr. Cole
