Ski Outing

Good evening

A fine ski outing was had by over 30 T648 youth and adults this past weekend – and when the biggest injury is a sunburn, that is one most excellent ski adventure!  I hear 5 of our Eagles were soaring above the slopes – two in full Class A dress regalia.  Many movies were watched, there was fine dining in the parking lot at Cafe Parizek, and every hill was conquered by our intrepid crew on skis and snowboards.  Thanks to the adults who drove, to Mr. McFetters for pulling it all together, and to the scouts who made the trip a memorable one for everyone.

Please remember that tomorrow night at 7PM is both troop meeting and family/committee night in parallel universes and conference rooms.  The agenda for the adult meeting includes a deeper dive on summer camp, and an overview of the fundraising opportunities to defray as much of the cost as you and your son wish to participate in.  We have already had some fantastic ScoutORama ticket sales results, and there is much much more on the horizon between now and July.

Keep in mind that family camp is coming up March 18-20.  All parents, grandparents, siblings, dogs, lizards, and any other residents of your home are welcome to attend in the Catalina foothills north of Tucson.  You provide your own food for the trip, and we’ll all come together for a pot luck on Saturday night where you bring whatever you want to grill for your family, and a side dish to share.  It is the very best way for you to see your scout in action, and to get to know other T648 family members in a relaxed and beautiful setting.  We hope that most of our troop family will be able to join us.

Mr. Cole
