Coyotes Hockey in Luxury and Free!

Hello Troop 648

A quick note to let you know we still have some tickets left for this Saturday’s (April 7th) NHL hockey game between the Coyotes and Anaheim Ducks. The tickets are located in a luxury suite (!) giving us space to move around and visit with each other, while watching the hockey game in total comfort!

We have expanded this to include another parent, a sibling or even a friend. Please contact me as soon as you can (dmcfetters@gmail.com, 602-793-1058) if you are interested.

Thanks again to Dr. Blair for his generous donation!

Go Yotes!

Coyote’s Hockey Game Opportunity!

Hello Troop 648

I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend! Seems as though summer is right around the corner…

Big announcement: Dr. Blair has generously offered free tickets to the Arizona Coyotes vs. Anaheim Ducks NHL hockey game this Saturday, April 7th! There are 18 tickets available (and possibly a few more). This is a great opportunity for a troop activity and the chance to see awesome hockey, in a cool environment, with friends and for free!

Tickets will be available to the first 18 that respond and for each scout, one parent/guardian can attend as well. Please contact me with your request (dmcfetters@gmail.com, (602) 793-1058). There are also some parking passes available. The tickets are on the Suite level which provides you the opportunity to hang out, talk with other Scouts and watch the game in the luxury of an open area suite… and it’s Fan Appreciation Night! Patrol Leaders, this would be a fun outing together as a Patrol.

Thanks again to the Blair family!

See you tomorrow night,

Scoutmaster T648

P.S. As a reminder, tomorrow night’s meeting (April, 3) is offsite at Western Window Systems – 2200 E. Riverview Dr, Phoenix AZ 85034 from 6:30pm to 8pm. We will NOT have a PLC meeting this week.

Eagle Court of Honor – Joe Hart

This is a reminder that we will have the Eagle Court of Honor for Joe Hart this afternoon at 2pm. The ceremony will be held at:

This unique dual troop ceremony (honorees from Troop 648 and Troop 649) should be a memorable one. Congratulations to Joe!
Thanks,
Mr. Benyi

***March 20 Meeting Update***

Hello Troop 648

I hope the ‘madness’ has not taken over your weekend!

A quick update for our upcoming Tuesday weekly troop meeting. We will be meeting at our normal spot, Chaparral Christian Church and not at the offsite location as originally planned.

This will be an ‘advancement’ meeting, so please be sure to bring your Scout book and any merit badge materials you are working on.

Also, Philmont Crew: we will be meeting at CCC at 6pm.

See you on Tuesday!

Troop Activity Committee

Greetings!

This is a reminder that we will have our first revamped “Troop Activities Committee” (TAC) meeting tomorrow night at 6pm, prior to the regular Troop Meeting. The TAC is a program operations meeting, (what used to be called the Adult Leader Meeting) – and is meant for: Leaders, Assistant Scoutmasters, Adults in charge of upcoming events, and any otherwise interested adults, parents, etc.

All are welcome and we hope you can join us.

Thanks!

Personal Management MB Kickoff – 3/13

I’d like to remind everyone that this coming Tuesday, March 13th in the troop room we will hold the reschedule of the 2018 Personal Management merit badge kickoff meeting. An hour before this week’s troop meeting we will walk through each requirement, and give you a picture of the 10 major items that you will learn as part of this Eagle Required merit badge.

To get you started, here also is a link to the merit badge worksheet, which outlines what you will need to cover, and along with the merit badge booklet will be your guide in completing all personal management requirements for the badge.

March 6 Meetings – Important Info

Greetings!

Troop Meeting: This week’s 7pm Tuesday meeting (3.6.18) will be held OFFSITE at 5337 E Thunderbird Road; Zane will be leading a meeting regarding Canoeing skills. He has asked everyone to bring a swim suit.

PLC Meeting: The PLC Meeting will be at 6pm (as usual) and will also be held at the address above; not at CCC this week.

Parent/Committee Meeting: Because we are offsite, we will have a brief “standing” Committee Meeting. I will keep the agenda as short as possible. (This meeting will NOT be held at the usual location, so that everyone does not have to drive to multiple locations.) Primary topics will include pancake breakfast and summer camp.

Thanks!
