An outstanding week at Summer Camp.  I am extremely proud of each and every Scout that participated at Camp Geronimo, this past week.  They did a great job with their Merit Badges.  There were just a few partials, which can be easily completed.   I would also like to thank the seventeen; yes I said 17 adults that took the time to participate in some measure to the success of the week.  With all the adult leadership, the boys’ seemed to gain momentum as the week progressed.  Please give Mr. Benyi a slap on the back for the “the heavy lifting” that made this past week possible.   I have taken many pictures, which will be uploaded to the web-site soon.  There were many comments from the camp staff and other Troop leaders complimenting Troop 648 on our bearing.  Even Schu’, (the camp Commissioner) who gave us his only Big G’ Gold for the week, mentioned that we were outstanding; “you wouldn’t believe some of the other Troops”.

Please take the time to shake hands with Logan Billman as he departs for California.  Tuesday evening will be his last meeting with the Troop.  Thank you Logan,  for being a part of our Troop and our lives.  Good luck with your future  in Scouting.  I am confident that you will be successful.

Take care and God Bless…..Mr. Martin
